The Ubiquiti Networks NBE-M5-16 is a CPE device designed for high-performance wireless connectivity in the 5 GHz band. It has a 16 dBi dual linear polarized parabolic antenna, which provides a focused RF beam width that improves noise immunity and signal intensity over long distances. This device supports point-to-point (PtMP) and point-to-point (PtP) network configurations, which makes it suitable for carrier class links and reliable outdoor implementations.
The NBE-M5-16 operates using Ubiquiti's patented airMAX TDMA technology, which allocates previously designated time intervals for data transmission, significantly improving the efficiency, performance and scalability of emission time compared to standard Wi-Fi protocols.
